Printing and Shipping update
– Wed, May 18, 2016 at 12:52:16 AM
To all members of the tribe,
It seems that this last month has been one of our busiest. Our days have been filled with long work hours, often every day of the week. One of the biggest challenges we faced over the last few weeks has been working with our printing and fulfillment warehouse in the US. Here's a recap of where we are at:
The printing of the Rulebook in hardcover and Leatherette is complete. The handouts and GM screens are also done, as is the OSR five pack of supplements. We generally refer to these items as the core printed rewards. The shipping of these core rewards has not started yet. The first delay was due to the printer working with me to get a higher quality production value on the OSR supplements. Once those were sorted, and extra pages of bonus content were added, the next hurdle was getting the collation of the materials done and sets shrink-wrapped. In particular, it was only recently discovered that every book that had the player handouts and 2 panels of GM screen bundled with it and then shrink-wrapped only actually had ONE of the two GM panels in it. The other panel was sitting in mislabeled boxes in their warehouse... Thus, they had to unwrap each of those 2250 bundles, check which panel was there, add the missing second panel, and then shrink-wrap them. Fortunately, all that is done, and here's a photo of these sets we had shipped to us for final quality control purposes:
Some of you may have heard that the Call of Cthulhu 7th edition Kickstarter core rewards were being shipped by Bang Printing as well. The same crew that was tackling the above problems was also swamped with sending out almost 2000 large and heavy parcels of Call of Cthulhu rewards over the last several weeks, including packaging problems that caused them to work overtime. I should mention that we aren't their only customer either, and some of their other customers had large numbers of shipments to process as well.
So what happens next? All of the BackerKit info to start shipping these core rewards to backers has been prepared. Bulk shipments are headed to Kixto (Europe), Lion Rampant (Canada), and Aetherworks (Australia and New Zealand) for global mail outs. Kixto, Lion Rampant, and Aetherworks have proven themselves to be swift, accurate, and safe shippers and they will be processing the parcels quite quickly. These shipments are clear, concise, and relatively light. Bang Printing has cleared their shipping department backlog, and will be starting mail outs to the US, South American, and rest of the world backers in a few days. We have tried to pin them down to an exact date, and they have said they will notify us as soon as they start sending them, as well as emailing the recipients.
What about the rest of the rewards? Work has continued on additional stretch goal related PDFs and the rest of the rewards. More on those in an update later this week. We don't want to delay getting this shipping update out.
We sincerely apologize for these delays, and appreciate your patience. As always, thank you for supporting this project.
Latest on Printing, Shipping, and PDFs.

To all members of the tribe,
After a few printing and paper problems, the OSR Source Pack of 5 classic early scenarios and supplements is heading to the Bang Printing warehouse on Wednesday April 13th. Thus, with its arrival we have all of the most common printed rewards (Rulebook in hardcover and leatherette, player handouts, GM screen, and the OSR Pack) ready to get shipped. Here's the shipping plan:
Australian and New Zealand orders are heading down to Sydney for fulfillment by Aetherworks.
Canadian orders are going to make a short trip to Canada for fulfillment by Lion Rampant in Ontario.
European orders are heading over to Kixto in the UK for fulfillment.
US and other locations are being shipped to backers from Bang Printing's warehouse in Minnesota.
When we have more precise shipping dates from Aetherworks, Kixto and Lion Rampant we will pass that info along to you. Please make sure your address is up to date in BackerKit. Backer rewards will be shipped from each fulfillment warehouse before pre-orders are shipped from that warehouse.
Progress on the remaining rewards: The updated production schedule has the PDFs for Plunder, Rune Masters, Cults of Terror, Cults of Prax and the SoloQuest Collection coming out in April. The remaining PDFs are scheduled for May now. All of the books are underway and in various stages of the creation process (OCR, cleanup, layout, or final editing).
The RQ1 Playtest Manuscript and the three volumes of Unpublished Scenarios and Source Materials will be finished in May as well. Both of these premium rewards are being printed and shipped separately from the other printed backer rewards.
Missing some of the PDFs? Please message us if you have not received all of your PDFs. As an extra download option we will be putting FANGS, Snake Pipe Hollow and Apple Lane on BackerKit as downloads later today even though they were sent out via DTRPG.
Thank you for your patience, and for backing this Kickstarter.
Argan Argan Atlas and Plunder PDF Update
– Sun, Mar 27, 2016 at 06:56:04 PM
To all members of the Tribe.
We just sent out the Argan Argar Atlas download codes to all the backers who purchased the Guide and Atlas Bundle. You should have the DTRPG codes emailed to you directly from DriveThruRPG. Alas, some backers have had the emails go straight to their spam folders so please have a look there if you have not received the email within one hour of the sending of this update (10:35am Eastern Standard Time).
On other fronts, we should have the Plunder PDF ready within a few days!
What PDFs are available thus far? RuneQuest Classic Rulebook, Player Handouts, GM screen, RuneQuest 1st Edition Rulebook, OSR Source Pack (5 PDFs), FANGS, Apple Lane, Snake Pipe Hollow, and the Guide and Atlas bundle.
As always, thank you for your patience, and for backing this project.
Progress Update - Snake Pipe Hollow and Printed books
about 10 years ago
– Thu, Mar 24, 2016 at 12:20:04 AM
To all members of the Tribe,
We laborers in the great gloranthan vaults have been hard at work preparing more classic supplements for your reading and gaming pleasure. Less than a week ago we provided you with both FANGS and Apple Lane, but just missed having Snake Pipe Hollow ready for you as well. We had to take a few days to work with our printers on the OSR Source Pack, and we are happy to report it should be done printing in a little over a week. Speaking of printing, the Rulebooks (hardcover and leatherette) are both in the warehouse and have been shrink-wrapped with the GM Screen and Player Handouts. We will be getting those prepped to send out as soon as we can. We want to combine their shipping with the OSR Source Packs. We also have to prepare our overseas shipments of these items as well. On your end, all we ask are a few more days of patience, and that you make sure your address is up to date and complete in BackerKit. The delay on the OSR Source Packs actually has a silver lining though. Look for a new updated version in the next day or so. Four out of the five booklets now feature bonus content and all are now 24 pages each in length.
Snake Pipe Hollow will be distributed in a few minutes via DriveThruRPG. You should be getting an email from DTRPG with your free download coupon. Normally all of the codes go out (all 2100+ of them) in about 10 minutes, so if you haven't received it within an hour of this update going live, please check your spam folder, and if you don't find it there please message me.
All those wonderful covers
Up next will be Plunder and Rune Masters, followed by Cults of Prax and Cults of Terror. Lots more to come! The RQ Playtest manuscript is soon to be mailed out as well.
As always, thank you for your patience and support.
RQ Classic Printing, and an OSR Pack update
about 10 years ago
– Wed, Mar 09, 2016 at 11:43:21 PM
To all members of the Tribe,
Our printers have just finished printing the RQ Classic Hardcover Rulebooks and the Leatherette Rulebooks, plus the GM Screen, and the Player Handouts. Once they get to the warehouse we will be preparing the books for shipment to our 3 other fulfillment centers in Canada, Australia, and the UK. I will have updated shipping dates shortly.
The Old School RuneQuest Source Pack is being printed. It will be shipping with the above items as well.
BackerKit has lackluster capabilities for distributing numerous PDFs. They have a 50 MB file limit per item, and because we want the PDFs to be awesome in quality many of them have been above that limit. Thus, we are going to try a new technique for distributing the PDFs. This evening I am sending all of the backers that have the OSR Source Pack PDF as a reward a free coupon from DriveThruRPG. This should allow you to easily download the PDF, and also get notified whenever we update that file. If you have any problems with the download or getting that free coupon, please message me.
I will do likewise with PDFs for the Argan Argar Atlas. (DTRPG coupons) later this week.
PDFs will debut in waves over the course of March and April. Fangs, Snakepipe Hollow, Apple Lane, Plunder and RuneMasters being amongst the first.
