PDFs and a Holiday treat

To all members of the Tribe,
While the delays in getting the next wave of PDFs to you have been frustrating, we wanted to make sure that there would be something nifty in your goodie bag this holiday season. We've added Nick Nacario onto the layout team so we can get the PDF delivery schedule back on track. The end of the year rush has distracted us for the last few weeks, including mailing out the premium backer books, but they will be with you shortly. In the mean time, back to the free goodies:
You will shortly be getting an email from BackerKit about an additional free download for all backers. It is for KHAN OF KHANS, Chaosium's new family card game, to be launched on Kickstarter early in 2017. More PDFs and the high level rewards

To all members of the tribe,
As we approach the end of the year we continue to make progress on the additional stretch goal PDFs and the Premium rewards. As it turns out, I had to make one additional adjustment to the premium books with a last minute catch that was making some of the pages "fuzzy to read". I would have caught it sooner, but it was not early on in any of the books, and only a second read by a friend caught the error. Regardless, the RQ1 Playtest Manuscript and the Unpublished Manuscripts books are done, and mailouts will begin before the end of November (this month).
As for the other stretch goal PDFs, the biggest reason behind the slowdown was the replacement of the editors on our editing team. Surprising or not, we are now on our fifth and sixth editors to take a crack at the books. Based on the editing delays I've done a reordering of the release of some books based on what was closest to being done, and have decided that Cults of Prax and Cults of Terror, which have now completed editing, are the next to be released. Cults of Prax will be ready before November 20th. Cults of Terror only a week after that. After those will be Pavis, followed by Big Rubble. The editor for the last two is almost done with those. We have every confidence now that the pace of delivery will greatly accelerate and December will be an equally productive month. I've brought on a second layout person to help ensure that.
Printing these PDFs as books:
We have been working on the most economical solution for getting these printed AND for sale from all three of our main warehouses (US, UK, and Australia). We believe we have the best solution for doing just that and we are aiming to have batches of the books ready at the same time so you don't have to buy them one at a time via multiple orders.
I apologize for the time between updates. The last few months have gone by in a blur and you all deserve far more frequent updates, even if there isn't much news to offer.

Production update - premium backer rewards

To all members of the tribe,
As I've been working on finishing more of the Stretch Goal related PDFs I have also been working on the premium rewards for our higher level backers, in particular:
- The RuneQuest Playtest manuscript is done, and at the printers. It is 256 pages in length.
- Volume 1 of the Unpublished RQ material is 256 pages. Its theme is "Encyclopedia Glorantha".
- Volume 2 of the Unpublished RQ material is 256 pages. Its theme is "The West, Sorcery, and Arkat".
- Volume 3 of the Unpublished RQ material is (wait for it) also 256 pages. Its theme is "Dragon Pass and the Wilds - with scenarios".
All in that's over 1000 pages of "soon to be published" unpublished material. I'll be announcing the ship dates for these 4 books shortly. The digital proofs looked awesome.
More on the remaining stretch goal PDFs soon. We've brought on an additional editor and eagerly await to hear their progress and how it will improve getting the rest of these done this year. These are 2016 deliverables, and we aim to finish them all in 2016.

GM Screen and other quick updates

To all members of the tribe,
I have included some photos of what we intended to recreate with the GM screen. Our inspiration was the "Judges Shield" done for RQ2 in the late 1970s. As you can see below, we came pretty close. Unfortunately, if you were expecting a screen done on a thick board like many modern GM screens, you will quickly see that is not what we delivered. Our apologies for any confusing info that may have led you to have a different level of expectations. Our screen is at the top of the first photo, and to the left in the second photo. It is side by side with the original Judges screen.
Shipping Update:
All Canadian Shipments have been sent.
All Australian/New Zealand shipments have been sent.
ALL other backer shipments (US, Europe, Rest of the world) will have been sent before the end of this week.
If you have not received your shipment by the end of next week, please email [email protected] to let us know. You should also use this email to report any missing or damaged items. Fortunately, reports of damage thus far have been few, although we have had a few incorrect items sent, or a few items left out of shipments. We apologize for this, and will of course send replacements quickly after you let us know via the [email protected] email.
As for our ongoing progress on the stretch goal related rewards:
While I await the arrival of the test printing of the 3 volumes of Unpublished material and the RQ1 Playtest Manuscript, I have gone back to working on Plunder and Runemasters. After those are completed I can then begin the layout on Cults of Prax and Cults of Terror, which are almost done being edited for completeness and removal of any typos. The rest of the series of books will be spread throughout the remainder of 2016. We wanted them all done by June, and while all are in various stages of completion it now seems likely that they will get released in small batches over the next 3-6 months. The initial promise date in the Kickstarter was "in 2016", and we are putting a plan in place to stick to that date. If we can get them all done sooner rather than later, we will. Hopefully, the Rulebook, the OSR Source pack bundle, Fangs, Apple Lane, and Snake Pipe Hollow can tide you over for a little longer.
Lastly, I also put the individual OSR Source Pack PDFs up on backerKit today. A few backers were reporting having problems getting them via DriveThruRPG. These are the final versions of those PDFs. (24 pages each)

Shipping Update

To all members of the tribe,
Shipping status as of Friday June 10th:

Canada - Books are in Canada. All 95 Canadian shipments should be sent by early next week.

Australia - Books are in Australia. All 145 Australian/New Zealand shipments should be sent by early next week.

Europe - Books are in the UK, after a slight hiccup with final delivery to the UK warehouse. Shipments start getting processed on Monday, June 13th. They have about 700 orders to process over the next week or so.

United States - Bang Printing has over 1100 shipments to process. They started with US backers first, followed by rest of the world backers (Asia, South America, etc.) They said they would have all of them shipped by some time late next week.
All 4 warehouses know that ALL backer shipments have to be sent before any pre-orders leave that warehouse.
EMAIL: I cannot guarantee that you will each get a shipping confirmation email. Some countries have privacy laws that do not allow couriers to send them. Some warehouses send them as they process each order, and not all of them up front in one big batch. Also, some emails will get eaten by spam/junk folders, especially if you have your email forwarded from one account to another.
As for the other rewards: I finished the RQ Playtest Manuscript recently so it could be sent off to the printers this weekend, along with the 3 volumes of Unpublished materials for the top level backers. More on the rest soon.
