To all members of the tribe,
I wondered how long we would hover just under $80,000 as Sunday evening progressed. Fortunately I was not kept in suspense for too long. Now that we have passed that mark I am happy to go over and mark another stretch goal as "achieved".
The RuneQuest Companion is a wonderful melange of articles and information from a variety of authors, including some reprinted articles from early Wyrms Footnotes issues. My personal favorite is the Esrolia section, with the regional map. Between 1978 and 1983 Chaosium published 23 RuneQuest products, and this one was the last (CHA4023). It's very gratifying knowing that it won't be out of print any more.
Also, one recent quandary I have faced is deciding on which particular cover to use for the reissue of Snakepipe Hollow. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts.

To all members of the tribe,
Thank you for helping us achieve another stretch goal. We've more than doubled our original funding level and we also have over 750 backers now, which is awesome.
Now that we are getting into Potential PDF Purchase territory, I wanted to make sure you understand how these stretch goal were set up and what we are trying to do. We have three main goals:
- You get awesome stuff you love - great content produced professionally
- Timely Delivery - we don't want to erase your enthusiasm with delays
- Shipping at a reasonable price - ship more locally, at least regionally
The Stretch Goals contain products that still need to be created. Many of them are well underway, but they are not ready to print until some time in 2016. We don't want the forthcoming production and shipping of the stretch goal books to slow down the shipping of the core rewards, which are ready to print. Thus, we decided to let you purchase PDFs at a reasonable price now, but not purchase printed books now.
The one thing I should have clarified from the start was that when you buy the PDF of any stretch goal book you will get that amount credited towards the purchase of the printed book. For example, we just unlocked the Plunder book. The PDF is $5. If you purchase the PDF you will get a $5 credit you can use towards the purchase of the printed Plunder book from us. Thus, if it ends up having a retail price of $15, you'll be able to purchase the printed book from us for $10. I hope that makes sense.

Apple Lane returns

To all members of the tribe,
Wow! Here we are again, with another stretch goal unlocked, and this one awards all backers getting PDFs with a free PDF of the Classic Apple Lane scenario. This is the kind of update I enjoy writing, and i hope it isn't the last stretch goal one that I get to write today. We will be making this available as a softcover book in early 2016. We may even offer that printed version for sale during this Kickstarter.
It's great seeing many of our Guide to Glorantha backers joining us on this Kickstarter as well. Glorantha is a shared experience and our tribe is full of many long time, loyal, and generous people. I chuckled, just like last time, when I got "Congratulations, Thor has backed your project!" email from Kickstarter. I treasure each backer email I get, although it's doubly awesome to have Valhalla on your side.

Another Stretch Goal achieved and another Backer Level added

I am happy to go and edit the Stretch Goal section to mark $50,000 as achieved. We'll get the PDF of Snakepipe Hollow ready for download after the Kickstarter has concluded. Another free pdf for all backer levels getting PDFs! More value for your pledge dollars.
We were pleasantly surprised that so many people were keen to be High Priests. Additional backers have started wondering what can be done to get those wonderful volumes of unpublished material. Fortunately, the RQ rulebook provides us with a ready answer (page 59 in the original): "A Priest who qualifies as a high priest with 15 or more points of reusable Rune magic spells sacrificed for has another alternative to becoming a high priest. He may take leave from the humdrum duty of the cult and begin training his characteristics and skills toward being a Rune Lord of the cult. He still retains all the privileges of his status as Priest." Thus, we are adding it as a new backer level.
RUNE PRIEST-LORD - You will receive a Leatherette RuneQuest Classic Edition book with color dust jacket, printed player handouts, a printed GM screen, a printed Old School RQ Source Pack, PDFs of those four items, the Hardcover RuneQuest Playtest Manuscript book, plus the Hardcover 2 volume "Unpublished Scenarios and Source Material" set.
