More info on some of the backer rewards

To all members of the tribe,
Jeff, Mike, and I have just finished recording a podcast about many of the Kickstarter items. From our home offices on three continents we got together to discuss what people can expect to find in the Old School Sea Cave Scenario, the RuneQuest Playtest Manuscript, and the "growing as we compile it" unpublished scenarios and source material books. While the Tales of Mythic Adventure podcast gets compiled and ready for download I thought I would go through some of it here:
The Sea Cave scenario was written in 1978 by Greg Stafford. While not fully finished, it has all of the maps and creatures ready to go, and most of the text typed up. It's a 16 page one-shot adventure. It's part of the Old School Runequest Source Pack reward, which is part of several backer levels, and also available in both PDF and print versions as an add-on.
The RuneQuest Playtest book is being created from the 250+ pages of playtest material written between July 1976 and June 1978. It has many notes written on it, a number of sketches, and a great number of ideas that didn't make it into the finished product. As somebody who's been collecting Gloranthan and RuneQuest materials for decades, this is the only known copy I've ever seen. Many thanks to Sven for taking such good care of it all these years. Steve Perrin and Greg Stafford have both written "How it all began" histories of the playtest period and how RuneQuest developed. They are the introduction to the book.
The Unpublished Scenarios and Source material hardcover books are scanned in information, compiled into hardcover books. They include a number of things from Greg's personal archives. Of particular note is the Gloranthan Encyclopedia from the early 80s. There's also a great deal of material from Greg's Dragon Pass house campaign, with numerous notes and character sheets from the adventures he ran in the late 70s and early 80s. They include the Howling Tower in the Upland Marsh, Dragon's Eye, Elves, Miskander's Tower, and more. There's a lot of prototype rules for western sorcery, and the cult of Arkat. We also are including Greg's Epic system, which was their attempt at "High Level" RuneQuest. Jeff and I talk about this at length in the podcast.

Additional Stretch Goal - SoloQuest Classic Collection, plus a Retailer level

To all members of the tribe,
We have been getting some great feedback and suggestions, two of which we have just included into the Kickstarter. Firstly, we have added a retailer level to better support the brick & mortar stores that want to carry our products. Please help us spread the word to your FLGS. Secondly, we've squeezed in a stretch goal for the SoloQuest Classic Collection. It's a combination reprint of SoloQuest, Scorpion Hall, and the Snow King's Bride. That's over 200 pages of classic solitaire adventures. To prevent any debate as to which of the three covers to use, we've combined them all into one for the front cover (to be fair, they were all pretty similar):
Just $10 for the PDF, with a book to be printed and for sale in 2016.

1200 Backers! and a Rewards Chart

To all members of the tribe,
It's great to have 1200 backers at present, and more with each passing day. Thank you for joining us. To make sure all of you have a solid and clear understanding of what is on offer in this Kickstarter and what rewards each backer level gets I have created a Rewards Table. After all, RuneQuest is all about clear, concise, and useful tables full of information. Without further ado:
I will add this table into the main story of the Kickstarter as well.

$100K and Cults of Prax returns!

To all members of the tribe,
I woke up this morning and went straight here so I could see if we broke the magic $100K mark, even before grabbing my first cup of coffee! Thank you to all who helped us get here. I'll go straight from writing this update over to marking another stretch goal as "achieved". This one unlocks Cults of Prax. For many, this book single-handedly brought a whole new dimension to Glorantha. Many say it is the critical supplement to have if you want to really play in Glorantha. One of my favorite parts of the book are the travels of Biturian Varosh. We have two covers (from 3 printings) to choose from:
Our next update later today will be for the unveiling of the "Rewards Chart", or as we like to refer to it, "The Lower Your Resistance table".
Thank you all for backing this Kickstarter.
Old School Unpublished stuff!

To all members of the tribe,
Thank you for bringing us so close to the magic $100,000 mark. I hope it's been an interesting Kickstarter for all of you thus far. Now that we're well underway, we've had more time to review and ponder all of your wonderful comments and suggestions. We've also been scouring the vaults to find a few more wonders to add. One thing (but by no means the only thing) we managed to track down is an unpublished Gloranthan scenario written by Greg Stafford back in the 1970s.
If this had been published it would have come out as an Old School RQ Source Pack, so here's the cover we created for it:
It's described as a medium level adventure for 4-8 players. We are adding this scenario as a bonus item to the Old School RQ Source Pack, so it is now five items instead of four. If you are at a backer level that gets the OSR Source Pack as one of its rewards or have purchased it as a $50 add-on, you'll be getting this too at no extra cost. We're all about value for money.
